Baptist Medical Center Beaches is the community hospital on 13th Avenue South in Jacksonville Beach. It has 146 beds and the only hospital-based 24-hour emergency service in the beaches community. The hospital highlights 15 consecutive Leapfrog "A" safety grades.
It is a smaller, close-knit hospital, and many stays are short: an ER visit that turns into a night or two, or a planned surgery.
What Baptist Medical Center Beaches allows
Baptist Health's visitor policy covers how many people can be in a room (up to four at a time) and when (5 a.m. to 9 p.m.), but it doesn't say anything about flowers, balloons or plants.
So there is no written yes or no. Before you order, call the hospital at (904) 627-2900 and ask whether the patient's unit accepts fresh flowers. As a broad hospital norm, intensive care units often keep them out and latex balloons are commonly avoided, but those are general practices, not Beaches policy.
Based on the hospital's own website, checked November 1, 2026.
Where the delivery goes
Address the order to the patient's full name at Baptist Medical Center Beaches, 1350 13th Ave S, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250. Add a room if the family has shared one, plus your phone number. A delivery inside the 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. visiting window is the safe bet.
Short stays are the main risk. If your friend came in through the ER yesterday, they may already be home tomorrow. Ask the family, and if discharge is close, have the flowers sent to the house. The same-day cutoffs guide covers how late you can order.
If flowers aren't an option
A card is always a safe first move while you check the rules. Since the room can hold four visitors, the simplest gift may be showing up with a coffee and a magazine during visiting hours. If you are out of town, a delivery to the home after discharge lets the patient enjoy flowers without hospital limits. Ask a relative for the home address and a day when someone will be there, so the bouquet isn't left sitting on a hot Jacksonville Beach doorstep.
What to send to a patient here
A beach town suits bright, casual flowers: sunflowers, gerberas or a mix in sunny colors, kept small enough for a hospital table. Skip strong fragrance in a shared space. For a thank-you to the ER team, our thank-you flowers guide has ideas, and for patients, see get-well flowers.
