What is OrderFlorals?

OrderFlorals is a guide to sending flowers in the US. We look up what hospitals allow, explain same-day delivery times and write practical guides on what to send and what to write. We are not a florist ourselves: when you order, you order directly from the florist.

Can I get flowers delivered today?

In most US cities, yes. Order by 2 p.m. in the recipient's time zone and a local florist arranges and delivers the bouquet the same day. Cutoffs can be earlier on weekends, on holidays and in some rural areas.

Do florists deliver on Sundays?

In many areas, yes, but not everywhere. If the delivery has to happen on a Sunday, check the available dates at checkout before you pay.

Can I send flowers to someone in the hospital?

Usually, but not to every unit. Intensive care, cancer, transplant and newborn units often refuse fresh flowers, and most hospitals ban latex balloons. Look the hospital up in our hospital pages, and call the hospital if the delivery matters.

What should I put on a hospital order?

The patient's full name as the hospital has it, the hospital's full address, the room number if you know it, and your own phone number. Check that the patient is still admitted on the day you order.

Where do flowers go at a funeral?

Large pieces such as standing sprays and wreaths usually go to the funeral home, timed to arrive a few hours before the service. Smaller arrangements and plants are often better sent to the family's home. Our sympathy guide covers customs and timing.

What should I write on the card?

Keep it short and personal: who it is from and one warm sentence. Our card guide has examples for get well, sympathy, birthdays, love and thank you.

I have a problem with my order. Who do I contact?

Please contact the florist you ordered from. They handle changes, cancellations, delivery problems and refunds. We can't see or change orders.

A hospital page is wrong. How do I tell you?

Use our contact form and tell us which hospital and what changed, ideally with a link to the hospital's own page. We check it and update the page.
